Along with this, 200 units of free electricity will be given by the Jharkhand government every month under the Bijli Mafi Yojana. Under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Urja Khushali Yojana under the Energy Department, about 33 lakh 7,294 domestic consumers will be benefited in rural areas, while 6 lakh 37 thousand 95 domestic consumers will be benefited in urban areas. The billing month of this scheme has been implemented from July 2024.

Under this scheme, about 40 lakh domestic consumers will be benefited, for which the Jharkhand government will provide Rs 350 crore as subsidy to Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JVNL) for 200 units of free electricity scheme.
